I also have this show coming up at 1am Gallery. Every artist is given a circle of wood to paint on. Should be interesting. See you there.

Guardian Art Show!

This is an invitation to enjoy the works of an artist collective
working in our stained glass/paint studio. Our previous Icon show was
such a success that we have decided to do it again. The studio is
part of the former historic Lukas Stained Glass studio owned by Nick
Lukas, and is an incredible piece of art and history just in itself.
Our group of artists have been creating and inspiring each other in
this space for almost a year now, and the progress is amazing. This
new show is based on the theme of the Guardian Angel.
We are honored to have such an incredible space and to
be surrounded by such prolific artists, and look forward to sharing
our creations with you.

Show opening Saturday, December 19th , 2009 from 7pm-10pm

Artists:
Prairie Prince, Pete the Painter, Amandalynn, Wythe Bowart, Nick
Lukas, Moria Lukas, Margaretta, Jin Kim Chon, Matt Gil, George Mead,
Lucien Shapiro, Sharon Collins, Stan Peskett, Paul Knotter, Megan
Shaffer, Tom Rudolph, Charlie O’Hanlon, Catherine Murty, Gretchen
Hodgins, Devon Raphael

Pet Portraits

Here are a couple of recent paintings. One of Rory and another of my sister's dog Hank. Both are great subjects and I had a great time trying to capture the mood of each animal. I think I might pursue some more pet portraits in the future. Send your pet photos my way! I need all the experience I can get.

Magical Painting!

My brother Wolfe is amazing. He is a constant inspiration in my life and sets the bar very high for the whole creative expression thing. He is a physical comedian, he is big in Japan, and tours the world making people's jaws drop. Not without the help from his beautiful wife Kerryn. To learn more about this amazing couple go to Spoon Tree Productions website.
Anyway, this is a painting we collaborated on last summer for his most recent show called Letter's End. My paintings have been called "magical" but this is my first Magic Painting. Hence the Magic Movie Music. Hah!
More Bowart Brother collaboration in the future.

Logo Design

Here is a logo I designed for a book resale company called Bibliosaur. This company rocks and the people that run it are really great. I had fun creating this logo and was free to add my style into it. I'm also doing ads and bookmarks for them. If you ever need to buy books for school go check out bibliosaur.com . Their site should be launching soon!

Paintin Pets

So I have been commissioned to paint a portrait of someones cat. The cats name is Rory. He has many great wrinkles. The painting is going very well and I'm really excited to unveil it tomorrow! In the meantime here is a sketchbook study.

Made these shirts for Pride. Silk-screened some to walk around with. Jin and I almost sold out yesterday. Get them while they are hot. Hot in the gayest way possible. Support the fight for equal rights while supporting a starving art student.
